Hi all,
I get the following error message when I want to use PAINT: "MSPAINT.exe
has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to
restart the program. An error log is being created"
I have tried to reinstall the MSPaint from Add/Remove but it didn't
solve the problem.
This happens on both Windows 2000 Server and Professional machines all
suddenly. I have tried to use either administrator or user account to
open mspaint but all get the same problem.
All machines are Dell PowerEdge 2850 with ATi Radeon 7000 Video; I am
not sure if this is caused by the video driver. But they were running
fine with this video driver; and some other same model/OS machines can
still open the mspaint.
Does anyone know the solution? Thanks.

Make sure you did not change any setting during the installation when you
have to reinstalled from the original!

Try to delete this registry key.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Applets\Paint
