I don't know - maybe Japanese are more feminine than Americans in this
sense. Better dressed, better manners, inward-looking etc this behavior
can be very very revealing! i.e. taking every occasion just a bit too
seriously, i.e. "how do I look", almost like a kid who obediently tucks
in his shirt. I mean this is travel - why not make yourself comfy?
I do agree with that American bit though. Many are probably just
travelling for the first time and are just so nouveau.
Business/first class - varies. Once on a trip to Hong Kong there was a
guy who keeps picking his nose and putting his leg on the seat,
scratching his toe-nails. An East asian nouveau riche but hopefully
musem piece! Fun to watch sometimes. People around were pissed; I
switched off my personalized movie console and decided to watch him
instead. ;)

You mean every sense; a teenage american geek junky is tougher than an
oyaji who whines about how easy whites have it. Japanese are bunch of
cuntbags; no if or buts about it, even if they dont always look like it.

Let's not forget that Japan is defined by her women and not by her men.
