Yea, I have heard 7 Israeli soldiers died and two were captured in
Lebanon. This is the beginning of another Middle East War that will
continue for the next 10 years. Only this time, it will be much bigger
and involving the United States since we are already fighting in Iraq.
Oh, well!! the world is overcrowded with people anyway. This is
societies way to control the population growth, wars and more wars.

Hardly. The Great War was absolute carnage but did not make a lot of
difference. The Spanish Flu, that came immediately afterwards cost more
lives than the whole of the war.
So if you want fewer people your best bet would be an epidemic.
Of course a nuclear war would be different ....
