look Chinese, Indonesian Chinese. What's the background information?
Is it likely that in the past Indonesian Chinese women who married
non-Indonesian Chinese lost their Indonesian citizenship? Does the
new law allow them (and their spouse) to retain Indonesian
citizenship?

Indonesian women who are married with foreigners jubilate after the
approval of the new law on citizenship in Jakarta, capital of
Indonesia, July 11, 2006. Indonesian House of Representatives on
Tuesday passed the new law on citizenship, eliminating discrimination
on ethnic, gender and marital status.
