海南黎族警民冲突至少17人被拘留

来自人权组织以及中国官员方面的消息说，海南省一个黎族人村庄的 村民在与警方
发生冲突后，至少有17名村民被拘留。海南省儋州市市政府今天在政 府网站上说，
这些村民由于勒索和防碍警方公务于上星期三被拘留。

冲突从7月4号开始，在此之前，警方接到有关村民们从一名司机手中 强夺了一辆汽
车的报告后进入村庄。村民们指责司机干扰了他们的宗教仪式，并要 求他为此付
款。市政府说，这些黎族人在警方干预后袭击了警方人员。

总部设在香港的人权信息中心说，至少有60名村民和警察在冲突中受 伤。该组织
说，40名村民被拘留。
