That is not an uncommon procedure in the West as well. Young couples =
who do not inherit vast sums of money cannot simply go to a housing =
agency and buy a house or an apartment. They have to borrow money from =
either a bank or special housing loan companies, and repay the debt =
through their salaries. Sometimes this can last for a very long time, =
although 30 years is normally accepted as average. This state of being =
in debt is a common accepted part of life, so much so that people who =
suddenly find themselves earning more money would sell their property =
(even though it is not yet fully paid off) to buy a more expensive one, =
and the process starts again.
